We are delighted to invite you to join an exclusive initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), supporting a multi-year Japanese-German joint-project for the sustainable development of business activities between Japan and Germany in the field of lightweight construction technologies.

From September 2026 until July 2027 the project includes information events and webinars online and in Germany, a buyers’ and information trip by a Japanese business delegation to Germany, a market exploration trip and a business developement trip to Japan. In addition, it includes a target market analysis, workshops and individual target market information.

The centrepiece of the multi-year project are the two delegation trips to Japan. These focus on individually arranged one-on-one meetings with potential cooperation partners and business contacts on site. In addition, there are group visits to the premises of potential business contacts on site, as well as presentation events with selected audience from the lightweight industry and research sector.

This initiative creates an ideal platform to identify concrete opportunities for long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation, and provides Japanes companies with a unique opportunity to connect with leading German businesses and explore high-potential partnerships.

Intensive support and guidance toward sustainable market entry and development are at the heart of the project. A German moderator and a team of Japanese partners are available to participants and experts throughout the entire duration of the joint project, across all formats, to help participating companies establish stable and lasting business relationships between Germany and Japan.

The project is implemented by SBS Systems for Business Solutions GmbH in cooperation with Composite United (CU), ICC – Innovative Composite Center and San-Ten Consulting, under the patronage of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE). Participation in the events is free of charge, as the program is funded by the BMWE; however, prior registration is required.
