Meet German companies from the Lightweight Technologies Industry

gab malaysia 2023 en

GAB Thailand 2023 AbfallwirschaftWe cordially invite you to join us for an initiative supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE):

As part of a bilateral business trip to Japan, a delegation of 12 selected German companies specializing in innovative lightweight materials, production and process technologies for composites, components and related technologies for different application fields like the composite industries and research, aerospace, automotive, construction industry as well as related sectors, will be visiting Kanazawa, Gifu and Nagoya in October 2025.

The aim of this visit is to establish new collaborations and partnerships between Japanese and German companies. The German companies will bring their expertise and offerings to the Japanese players in the composites and lightweighting materials market, presenting opportunities for mutual growth and advancement.

The program encompasses two one-day presentation and networking conferences in Kanazawa and Nagoya,  featuring expert lectures and pitch presentations that will showcase Germany’s expertise, innovations, and technologies.

Japanese companies, industry and research representatives and government officials are invited to attend the conferences, scheduled for Monday, October 20th, at the ICC Innovative Composites Center in Kanazawa, and Thursday, October 23rd, at the National Composite Center (NCC) in Nagoya. This events presents an excellent opportunity to explore potential areas of cooperation and exchange valuable information and knowledge between Japanese and German counterparts.

We also invite you to participate in individual B2B meetings and further conferences with German companies in Kanazawa, Gifu and Nagoya from Tuesday, 21th to Friday, 24th October 2025. The meetings can be held either at a central location or directly at your company’s premises. This is a great chance to explore new business opportunities and discover potential synergies and partnerships with German participants. To schedule your individual B2B meetings, please contact the project responsible, Bastain Brenken (CU) / Yoshihiro Saito (ICC).

        In Japan

Since its establishment in 2014, the Innovative Composite Research and Development Center (ICC) has become Japan’s largest R&D center for composites, promoting collaboration with institutions and companies to expand composite material applications. ICC’s well-equipped environment includes large-scale molding facilities, a chemical lab for matrix resin development, and advanced evaluation equipment, enabling seamless development from raw materials to prototyping, evaluation, and simulation.
The center supports both academic research and corporate product development under its “Under-One-Roof” concept, welcoming corporate researchers and fostering collaboration until the final stages of product development. Annually, over 60 researchers from 50 companies join ICC’s membership program, which also offers networking and technological trend-sharing activities through monthly forums and events. These efforts are supported by 20 researchers, engineers, and a Strategy Planning Team assisting with R&D planning, funding, and operations.
