Short Business Description

OrelTech is a Berlin-based startup making particle-free precious-metal inks and plasma-cured coatings

General information

Company profile

OrelTech GmbH is a Berlin-based advanced materials company founded in 2015. It pioneers a proprietary, particle-free metallization technology using conductive precious-metal inks (silver, gold, platinum, palladium) paired with an energy-efficient, low-temperature plasma curing process. Unlike conventional nanoparticle inks, OrelTech’s formulations avoid nozzle clogging, use precious metals more efficiently, and cut energy use by up to 95%, producing no toxic waste. Applications include printed electronics, OLED and flexible display electrodes, biosensors, catalytic surfaces, medical-grade coatings, and hydrogen/fuel-cell components. OrelTech serves electronics, medical, automotive, energy, and semiconductor industries as both a materials supplier and development partner.

Products & Services

Conductive Inks & Coatings: particle-free silver, gold, platinum, and palladium formulations, plasma-cured for high-purity metal layers. Inks are printed via inkjet, aerosol jet, or microdispensing for PCB seed layers, OLED/flexible electrodes, and biosensors. Coatings are applied by spray, slot-die, or dip coating for catalytic surfaces, shielding, and medical/decorative finishes (e.g., OTech Platinum TF721, OP711).

ARM / ATMOcoat System: OrelTech’s Ambient Rapid Metallization (ARM) technology, sold as the ATMOcoat machine, fuses aerosol-jet printing with a localized plasma jet in one nozzle. It deposits and instantly cures precious metals (Ag, Au, Pt, Pd) onto almost any surface—flat, porous, meshes, membranes—at room conditions, no vacuum or cleanroom needed. It forms ultrathin (20–200nm) layers in seconds, ideal for green-energy lines like batteries and PEM electrolysers.

Target group

Customers include manufacturers in printed/flexible electronics, OLED displays, biosensors, medical devices, automotive, PCBs, and hydrogen/PEM electrolysers seeking greener, cost-efficient precious-metal deposition. OrelTech is also seeking a Series A investor: VCs and strategics in deep tech, advanced materials, and sustainability, valuing proprietary IP and scalable clean-tech manufacturing.

Competitive advantages

Particle-free inks avoid nozzle clogging and use precious metals more efficiently than nanoparticle alternatives. Low-temperature plasma curing (under 70°C) cuts energy use up to 95% with no toxic waste. The ARM/ATMOcoat system deposits metal in seconds at atmospheric pressure—no vacuum or cleanroom—enabling scalable, in-line, selective metallization on complex or delicate surfaces.

Ideal Business Partners

Manufacturers and OEMs in printed electronics, OLED/display, biosensors, medical devices, automotive, PCB production, and hydrogen/PEM electrolyser components looking to co-develop or integrate greener metallization processes. Also equipment integrators, materials distributors, and research institutes in advanced coatings, plus strategic investors in deep tech and sustainability.
