Company profile	For MACS, sustainability is vital to our vision to Innovate Life for a Global Future. In recognition of SDGs and the dire need for climate mitigation and adaptation action, MACS’ mission is to Enable People to Realize Sustainable Development through the pairing of in-depth financial, technical, environmental, and institutional knowledge. MACS was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, where the company is registered as a private limited liability company. With three affiliates in Brazil, Serbia and Peru founded in 2014, 2015, and 2022 respectively, and branch offices in Georgia and Montenegro, it currently employs 35 full-time staff members and long-term associates and generates revenues around MEUR 2.8 annually. MACS has three core service areas (SA)– Climate, Sustainable Finance, and Sustainable Infrastructure – supported by specialized staff in the areas of Human Resources & Training, IT Development, and Acquisition.
Products & Services	The Climate SA focuses on climate change mitigation & adaptation, Greenhouse Gas/Carbon Accounting and ESG & SDG Scoring: Scope 3 Calculation for Municipalities and Portfolios Support in non-financial reporting and KPI development according to NFRD IT-Systems for climate impact and climate change risk assessments The Sustainable Finance SA focuses on Advisory for the Implementation of Green Credit Lines including Portfolio Screenings, Investment Impact Assessments, Trainings and Monitoring through our online tool eSaveTM Technical Advisory to Financial Institutions to deal with issues related to sustainable energy investments including energy audits and ESIA The Sustainable Infrastructure SA focuses on the implementation of water and sanitation projects, providing accompanying measures to IFIs, national and local governments, and public utilities: Governance for Financing Mechanisms, Tariff, and Utility Performance Evaluations Institutional Support and Performance Improvement
References and export activities	MACS has ongoing projects in the Western Balkans, Latin Amerika & MENA Region and implements the eSaveTM tool for currently 107 Institution Accounts as well as the waterSmart tool servicing 62,000 customers. MACS is certified in ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 since 2020, received the Project Innovation Award by IWA for Regional Support of the municipality of Batumi, in 2012&13 and has been the Technical Advisor to GGF since 2010.
Target group	MACS Target Group consists mainly of public and private entities including governments, cities, municipalities, NGOs, commercial banks, international finance, and development organizations and specialized investment funds, but also cooperation with MSMEs has developed further. Besides the financial sector, the main industry focus would be the energy efficiency and the water sector as well as the upcoming sustainability sector.
