Development and manufacturing innovative, high-quality testing equipment for composite materials, reinforcement + synthetic fibres/yarns.

General information

Company profile

Founded in 1949, Textechno has more than 75 years of experience distinguished by continuous innovation and numerous patents. The long-established family-owned company remains privately held, combining extensive industry knowledge with strong technological expertise and a clear commitment to innovation.
Since 2010, we have had a strong focus on composite materials and the growing requirements of lightweight construction. Here we developed and successfully introduced innovative testing systems for reinforcement fibres, rovings, tapes, fabrics and fibre–matrix interfaces.
Textechno is firmly established as a global technology and market leader in the testing of man-made fibres and filament yarns.
Combining decades of experience, extensive engineering expertise and continuous innovation, Textechno today provides advanced testing technologies and dependable solutions for the international textile, fibre and composites industries.

Products & Services

Composites:
• Testing systems for determining single-fibre and interfacial properties, including fibre–matrix adhesion, contact angle and electrical conductivity
• Characterisation of glass- and carbon-fibre rovings, tows and tapes
• Measurement of the linear density (count) of glass rovings and carbon-fibre tows
• Commercial testing service for composites and reinforcement fibers.

Textile- and chemical fiber industry:
• Instruments for the determination of all relevant mechanical and thermomechanical properties of fibers and yarns.

We provide turnkey testing solutions, including laboratory design, installation, commissioning, and operator training.

References and export activities

Textechno serves customers worldwide, including leading producers of man-made fibres and filament yarns (Toray, Teijin, Mitsubishi, Asahi Kasei, Kuraray, Toyobo, DuPont, Hyosung, Reliance, Indorama, Rhodia, SGL), and companies / research organisations in the composites sector (ICC Kanazawa, AGC, Michelman, Toray/Zoltek, Johns Manville, FITI, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Deakin University, ITA Aachen and Fraunhofer IGCV).

Target group

We are particularly interested in meeting decision-makers and technical experts involved in the development, production and quality assurance of composites, glass and carbon fibres, reinforcement materials, and sizing formulations. We also welcome discussions with research institutes and universities working in these fields.

Competitive advantages

Our innovative and highly reliable testing systems provide capabilities that are unique worldwide, particularly for the characterisation of composite reinforcements and fibre–matrix interfaces. Our products offer a high degree of automation, intuitive operation and straightforward integration into networks, manufactured entirely in-house, delivering 100% “Made in Germany” quality, flexibility and dependable technical support.

Ideal Business Partners

Japan is a key centre of innovation in carbon fibres, advanced materials and composite manufacturing. Through this project, we aim to present our testing solutions to existing and potential customers, better understand their specific quality-control requirements and establish long-term partnerships with Japanese companies and research organisations.
