Meet German companies from the Film industry
We cordially invite you to join us for an initiative supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE).
As part of a business trip, a delegation of German companies, renowned for their high-quality and innovative technologies, products, and services in the film industry, will visit Johannesburg and Cape Town in September 2025.
The purpose of this visit is to showcase German expertise in this sector and foster new collaborations and partnerships between South African and German companies. The German delegates aim to contribute their knowledge and offerings to the South African film industry, creating opportunities for mutual growth and development.
The program includes one major symposiums in Johannesburg, highlighting Germany’s innovations, technologies, and industry leadership. We invite companies, industry professionals, and government representatives to attend the symposium in Johannesburg on the 2nd of September 2025. These events offer a valuable opportunity to explore potential areas for cooperation and engage in knowledge exchange between South African and German counterparts.
Additionally, we encourage you to take full advantage of this event by scheduling one-on-one B2B meetings with the German companies. These meetings can be arranged either at a central location or at your company’s premises.

The project is carried out by Southern African-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with SBS systems for business solutions GmbH under the auspices of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and with support from industry associations like Western Cape Government and Wesgro -tourism, trade & invest. The event is free of charge, as it is funded by the German Ministry, but requires prior registration.

In South Africa
The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Southern Africa (AHK Southern Africa) is part of the worldwide network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK) with 150 locations in 93 countries. It was founded in 1952 and since then has supported around 600 member companies in their international business as an important platform for bilateral economic exchange. AHKs in Germany are closely linked to the network of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs). Together, IHKs and AHKs support German companies in establishing and expanding their business relations with foreign countries. The umbrella organisation of the IHKs is the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), which also coordinates and supports the AHK network. The close cooperation with the German trade associations also ensures that the AHKs are networked close to the companies and markets. Based on a resolution of the German Bundestag, the AHKs are pro rata supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy.
