| Company profile | SEDI GmbH was founded in 2008 as a specialist solution provider for small-batch production of custom products in the surveillance and security sector. Subsequently, SEDI GmbH evolved into a solutions partner for self-sufficient solar systems for powering sensors, monitoring systems, and special solutions for the military and government agencies. To this end, we entered into joint ventures with solar module manufacturers and developed a special module based on fiberglass laminate, which, without glass or aluminum frames, offers a significant weight advantage over standard solar modules, weighing only 4.5 kilograms per square meter. Further advantages include durability, robustness, and an antistatic surface finish, making it difficult for dust and dirt to adhere. Since 2018, we have also been using these solar modules to cover structurally weak roofs or facades by simply gluing the module on.
