Company profile	Since 1995 Raikhlin aircraft Engine Developments GmbH – RED Aircraft© – is active in complex engine technology. The focus changed in 2008 to high performance compression engines for the aviation industry. The A03 V12 engine is RED Aircraft´s own clean sheet development with a very high level of vertical integration. In 2013 RED Aircraft became a EASA certified Design Organisation (DOA) EASA.21J.433 approved according to Part 21, Section A, Subpart J. Already one year later in 2014 the RED A03-003 V12 Utility Engine for crop dusting, commuter or cargo applications with 500HP was certified by EASA in compliance to EASA CS-E / TYPE-CERTIFICATE-DATA-SHEET No.: E.150. RED Aircraft´s uniquness beside highest fuel efficiency of 218g/kWh is the capability to customize exactly according to customer needs. The RED A03-102 aerobatic trainer engine was certified in 2018 followed by a power extension to 550HP in 2022. The DAL B certified FADEC is developed inhouse holding also the IP rights.
Products & Services	RED Aircraft is developing and producing currently V12 certified diesel cycle engines for aviation with 500HP and 550HP in the variants RED A03-005 for Utility, RED A03-102 for Aerobatic capable up to +9g and -7g, RED A03-200 High Altitude capable up to FL500, RED A03-300 Helicopter Engines without gearbox and RED A03 Hybrid Generator Units / APUs customized up to 380kW and 800VDC. RED Aircraft is offering Engine & Spare Part Sales, Engineering & Integration Support with 3D Data, Testing & Compliance Showing Support, Supplier Selection Support, Documentation & Manual Creation, FADEC Development and Joint Engine Developments – in the future also V8, I6 & I4 with 400HP, 300HP & 200HP Take-Off Power.
References and export activities	Since 2024 RED Aircraft established a STC House in Oregon / USA for faster aircraft model conversions and certifications with RED Aircraft engines like the Air Tractor AT 301 & AT 401. The new site will service the engines locally keeping spare parts 24/7 in USA. First RED customers are Diesel Air in New Zealand with the Fletcher FU-24, Ampaire in California with the ECO-Caravan, Maloy Aircraft in Florida with MA-1 Blue Jay.
Target group	Utility Aircraft, Trainer Aircraft, MALE Drone, Helicopter, eVTOL & Electric Aircraft as well as Commercial Aircraft OEM Manufacturers for Hybrid Generator Units & Auxilary Power Units (APUs) belong to RED Aircraf´s OEM target customers as well as Service Centers intending to sell RED Aircraft STC KITs for engine replacements and End Users or Operators in the Agricultural Aviation.
Competitive advantages	RED Aircraft engines burn 50% less fuel and reduce CO2 emissions by half compared to turbine engines in the same power range. Noise emissions are even much less than 50%. The purchase price, the maintenance cost and hence also the total cost of operation is around half compared to turbine engines. RED Aircraft is fast in developing new engines with a very high level of customization. No export restrictions, no Dual Use Goods.
