Company profile | IB/E optics GmbH (Ingenieur Büro Eckerl) is an owner-managed, highly specialized company that specializes in customized optical solutions for film, industry, and research. Founded in 1992 as an engineering office by Dipl.-Ing. Klaus Eckerl, it was converted into a limited liability company (GmbH) in 2001 for in-house production. Since 2012, it has been located at its current site in Freyung (Passauer Str. 13), which has been expanded several times (2019) and features modern office, production, and clean room buildings. IB/E currently employs approximately 50 people, including physicists, engineers, CNC specialists, microscope opticians, etc.

Product portfolio:
RAPTOR Macro Cine Lenses (24–300 mm, 1:1–2:1 macro, sensor up to Vista Vision); Manufacturer of Blackwing7 lenses for TRIBE7 and various prime lenses for OEM customers such as Thales Angenieux and ARRI. The latest developments are anamorphic lenses, the Corals for Second Reef, and the Raptor Scope FF, which is unique on the market. Optical tools such as expanders and extenders, as well as optical filters, round out the portfolio.
