Dhpi provides IoT Solutions for 24/7 structural monitoring of infrastructure and buildings.

General information

Company profile

dhp:i – Dr. Hesse und Partner Ingenieure specialises in continuous structural health monitoring of critical infrastructure. With over 25 years of experience and research partnerships with leading German universities, dhp:i delivers high-accuracy monitoring of bridges, tunnels, quay walls and high-rise buildings.
Using advanced IoT sensor technologies — including fibre optic sensing, acoustic emission monitoring, GNSS, vibration and inclination sensors — dhp:i operates large-scale monitoring systems generating up to 1.6 million measurements per day. This data density enables early detection of structural anomalies with far greater precision than conventional inspections.
Through its digital GeoSCADA platform, dhp:i provides continuous data management and real-time structural assessment via a secure cloud interface with visualised monitoring data accessible anytime.
dhp:i delivers a complete end-to-end solution: from sensor design and installation to live monitoring, anomaly detection an

Products & Services

dhp:i develops permanent multi-sensor structural monitoring systems for highly stressed infrastructure such as bridges, tunnels, quay walls and high-rise buildings. Continuous monitoring supports early detection of structural changes and reduces costly reactive maintenance.
Sensor technologies include:
Fibre optic sensing – distributed strain and temperature monitoring, acoustic emission – real-time crack detection, GNSS – high-precision deformation tracking, inclination sensors – tilt and rotation monitoring, vibration sensors – dynamic load and resonance analysis.
All systems are designed, installed and operated by dhp:i structural engineers, ensuring full quality control.
