| Company profile | At TESAT, we are transforming the future of satellite communications with groundbreaking solutions. Our mission is clear: we strive to connect the world and support sustainable progress in ways that make a positive impact on society and the environment. Our dedicated team of 1,100 employees develops, assembles, and tests satellite communication products at our 63,000 m² facility in Backnang, Germany. To date, TESAT technology is onboard over half of all communication satellites in orbit, and we’ve completed close to 1,000 space projects. Pioneering in optical communications, we’ve enabled over 85,000 secure laser transmissions in space, offering high-speed, stable data transfer with the advantage of secure transmission. With this optical communication technoloy TESAT lays the foundation for LEO constellation and space based internet service. We are currently working on 6G mission as a prime, varifying optical 100 Gbps links in orbit (hydron) and commercializing QKD solutions.

| Products & Services | We offer the complete communication technology necessary, for example to emit television signals via satellite antennas to each household. As the first organization in the world, we have been developing and delivering equipment for optical broadband communication in space. Advantages of laser communication are the high data transfer rate, its transmission security and its stability. More than 85,000 laser transmissions have been successfully performed so far.
